2013 – Melbourne & Goodbye Sydney. Not a bad introduction to watching tennis in person! As it turned out when we arrived Murray was playing in the Rod Laver Arena and we got stuck in the mass exodus after he won his match. 2013 – USA – Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. We are fairly ticking them off, that’s another two off the bucket list – the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. The last time I made it to Vegas I didn’t do the canyon and regretted it. It’s not a cheap day out or a short one – 6am to 9pm on a bus – but yes it was worth it. 1 hr from Vegas is the Hoover Dam. 2013 – New Zealand – Dundein, Westcoast and North Island. Our second week of our tour around New Zealand started by driving over to Dunedin. Dunedin is the Gaelic name for Edinburgh so I felt a connection with this place. Dunedin is a nice little town, it’s got a huge University so has a younger feel as well as lots of wrinklies enjoying the lovely cafes.
