Safety is a very important part at Okanagan Stables. Riders participate in a practice warm-up before the trail ride. The time and attention taken in this session is to make sure that you are comfortable with your horse, and helps us provide the most enjoyable and safest ride possible. Our trail rides are guided, and if necessary, young or nervous riders can be hand-led on their horse by our staff, both in the staging area and along the trail, to ensure their safety and comfort. As of July 2014. We have relocated back to the same general area as we had previously been a few years ago. Our staging area is situated on Westside Road, West Kelowna, about 1.5 kms north of Lake Okanagan Resort/. The following directions begin at the main bridge from Kelowna, over Lake Okanagan. For those who visited our stables previously when we were in that same general area, please note that we are NOT on the Lake Okanagan Resort property- we are about 1.5 kms past the entrance to the resort.

Okanagan Stables offers an incredible SWIM WITH THE HORSES ride, one of the most incredible riding adventures you will ever experience! You will first enjoy a beautiful trail ride, after which we will end up at one of the lake accesses and go swimming with the horses. Be sure to wear your bathing suit and bring a small towel, plus your waterproof camera, of course! We also offer trail rides only, for a variety of riding levels, for those who prefer not to swim.
