The McGillen Family: December 2010
http://mcgillenfamily.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
December 30, 2010. Now is it Christmas Day yet? Jackson has been so excited for Christmas. I think every single day (and multiple times a day) for the last two weeks he has asked, "Is it Christmas day? After Jackson's nap one Saturday, I told him that we were going to go see Santa in Mommy's building (he loves that place! He gasped in surprise and said "I need to write him a letter! While I was getting ready, he drew Santa three pictures and even signed his name! Sorry for the blurry shot. I was hoping t...

The McGillen Family: February 2011
http://mcgillenfamily.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
February 20, 2011. Jackson seemed to really enjoy it this year. He loved getting the Valentine's from his class (especially the treats) and learned to draw hearts. Here Jackson is opening up his card from Pama and Papa:. It was a great card, complete with 3D glasses that you could use to see Buzz and Woody running out to greet you! In fact, it was a such a great card that he actually received three of them! Guess we all know what he really likes! We all had a great laugh over that one. Oopsspilled some o...

The McGillen Family: Family Fun Days
http://mcgillenfamily.blogspot.com/2012/11/family-fun-days.html
November 25, 2012. So glad it is fall! We had an awesome night for Halloween. After several weeks of making our costumes, it was finally time for the Super Family to go out on the town. Jackson loved that we dressed up! Although Jackson was hesitant at first to go out with a larger group of kids, he quickly got into it and lead the group from one house to the next. His swagger was in full effect! Jackson loved riding the train, and I was surprised how many of the animals you could see on our ride. The ne...

The McGillen Family: September 2012
http://mcgillenfamily.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
September 30, 2012. Orange Belt - Say "Yah! Fast forward to Open House night at school. I talked with his karate instructor briefly just to see how Jackson was doing. Her first comment was that Jackson was really disappointed that he didn't get to test for his orange belt, and now he felt really excluded since he was the only one who didn't have his orange belt. Ouch! After Jackson was finished, he had to wait for all of the other kids to finish - over 1 hour later! Needless to say, we missed soccer.

The McGillen Family: November 2012
http://mcgillenfamily.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
November 25, 2012. It was a busy week gearing up for the Thanksgiving festivities, made a little more difficult with me being sick and Tom having a kidney stone. That didn't stop us too much, though! Rob flew in for Thanksgiving, so it was nice to have the whole McGillen family there to celebrate Thanksgiving together. We ordered a smoked turkey from Van's - definitely a new tradition. It was so delicious that Jackson even liked it! On Thursday night, we went down to my parents house. Tom's kidney st...

The McGillen Family: April 2011
http://mcgillenfamily.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
April 10, 2011. I'm a soccer mom! Last Saturday was Jackson's first soccer game. I think I was even more excited than he was! I really like Jackson's coach - the focus is purely on making sure the kids have fun and they get equal playing time. The score is meaningless. Just as it should be! Just before the start of the game, each kid drew a card to determine who was going to play first. What a great idea! Jackson out in front. Doesn't he look like he's leaving everyone else in the dust? Some of the paren...

The McGillen Family: August 2012
http://mcgillenfamily.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
August 30, 2012. I can't believe it. My son is in Kindergarten. I'm the mom of a KINDERGARTENER! When did this happen? Jackson was so excited to start school. I was just glad I didn't cry. (I'm sure that's waiting for me next year when he goes to elementary school). From August 30, 2012. I borrowed an idea from Pinterest (see? One of my friend's girls just had a friend take a picture of her on her first day as a sophomore in college, so I have hope! From August 30, 2012. From August 30, 2012. Speaking of...

The McGillen Family: January 2012
http://mcgillenfamily.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
January 15, 2012. My parents and Reese got up early to see Jackson play basketball this weekend. The team last weekend was so good that our coach decided that our team needed to be shooting overhanded. Our team is still pretty young and not that strong yet, but they tried really hard. Jackson is getting really good at dribbling. I think he really enjoys playing basketball.and he didn't even learn it from the encyclopedia! Reese had a great store named "Shy Models". They sold lots of salad. January 8, 2012.

The McGillen Family: October 2010
http://mcgillenfamily.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
October 20, 2010. Getting ready to go out trick or treating! Can you tell how excited Jackson is? Jackson had been practicing how to trick or treat for the last week. Since he loves ringing doorbells, we knew this was going to be a great year. Jackson would go up to the houses and say "Trick or Treat! And then after receiving his candy, he'd say "Thank you! We went to quite a few houses this year though we did bypass our favorite neighbor sitting outside. Tom and Jackson took the opportunity on Halloween...

October 28, 2012. Jackson is gearing up for Halloween this year. The costumes have been coming out more than usual.along with some interesting combinations:. May the force be with you:. Who said Captain America couldn't fly? Not even sure what to call this get-up:. Just a casual outfit to play Mario-Kart:. Last weekend we went to OSU Homecoming Walkaround and the football game. It was a beautiful weekend for it. And who can resist a camel ride? We didn't have much time after the parade to get to the game...
