Ol Mesera is owned by Mrs. Barbara Lavrich-Winani, who originates from Slovenia but has lived in Tanzania for more than 40 years, for the larger part in the Serengeti. Our water comes from one of the many springs of the Ngorongoro escarpment. With help from the Selela Village Government and from young Maasai we have laid pipes from the spring high up the hills down to our camp and to a subvillage of Selela. Now our Maasai neighbours can tap fresh water closer to their ‘bomas’ (Maasai village). Currently we are setting up cooperation to connect local businesses with the global market. Ol Mesera is an exclusive tented camp where you will find a lot of privacy. The five tents all have splendid views of the valley and the escarpment across the valley. We have a family room available and children of all ages are welcome, however we do not have cots available. If you travel with children, please inform us before booking to discuss the possibilities.
