Today I want to just go over the details of the Orphans a little and tomorrow I want to get into something a little bit more difficult to discuss. On Monday we crossed the border into. Met up with Bishop Moses and made our way to the Executive Hotel in Bugiri. This border crossing was a complete surprise versus my other crossings.

Dave's East Africa Blog. Saturday, June 23, 2012. June 23, 2012. A week ago I received some sad news from Kenya. One of the three farmers of the passion fruit orchards in Bulimbo has died. Not only has he died but his wife too. No one was left to attend to the orchard and it too is completely gone. Stephan and his wife died in a traffic accident. I am not sure if they were in a car, or were in a Matatu or just walking down the road. He tells me not to worry he can see them. I can’t even come close ...

Since my last post it has come to my attention that the passion fruit is starting to regain on some of the plots and hopefully soon I will have some pictures. I am waiting for some updates from the areas on the status of the orchards. Once I get a good feel of what is going on I can hopefully plan my trip to Kenya later this summer. On Wednesday we traveled west to Iganga to visit with the Orphans that Bishop Moses and his wife Esther house in their rented small two room apartment if you want to call it one. It is essentially two rooms with each room about eight feet by ten feet if that. The living room or sitting room doubles as the boys sleeping area at night. The other room is the bedroom for Esther and the girls.
