http://ultraslow.blogspot.com/2014/01/one-epic-run.html
Ultra Slow.the making of an ultra runner. Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Let's see if I can back up and retrace my steps for One Epic Run. 24 hour race which took place Dec 7th at Croft State Park/Spartanburg, SC. (Photo credit: Viktor Trukov and Stephanie Moore). I originally signed up for this race with the base goal of completing the marathon distance (26.2 miles), but quickly decided I was going all in and declared my intention to complete 50 kilometers (31 miles). Go big or go home is my motto. It was pr...

Going the Distance: September 2011
http://runningbrett.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
A blog about running, personal health and fitness. Sunday, September 18, 2011. No, I am not giving up. Running is one of the few things that I truly enjoy doing no matter what, so I am always looking for time to do it. College on the other hand is making the time limited with classes, but that's okay. Where there is a will there is a way right? I was able to run two days in a row! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Search Going the Distance:. A Trail Runner's Blog. Going the Distance: March 2013
http://runningbrett.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
A blog about running, personal health and fitness. Saturday, March 30, 2013. I am not sure what I was expecting really. After being fairly lazy (that is the nice way of putting it) for the better part of the last year, I have had a terrible time running these past couple of days! I don't think I have ever been in worse shape in my life. Sadly, in the best interest of my running health I think I must start slower than I have ever started before. Links to this post. Wednesday, March 13, 2013. I could blame...

The Blue Pitcher: December 2012
http://nicolehefner.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 20, 2012. Among other things: A Bird. I have fallen in love with this book. Gave Eva for her birthday last year. And lately, I am also in love. With poems and my girls and just being here. All morning I have been watching the saddest news. I stare at my computer and cry:. 14 small coats hanging on hooks. I keep waiting for Ella to wake so I can go to her and nurse her. But the house stays quiet. I wonder when the snow will come again. Links to this post. Thursday, December 13, 2012.

The Blue Pitcher: The Heart
http://nicolehefner.blogspot.com/2013/05/the-heart.html
Wednesday, May 8, 2013. That which I once named an apple, once, a pi ñ. Ata, is actually a heart, a three hundred gram, four chambered, hollow muscle. There is heartache, heartbeat, heartblood, heartbound, heartbreak, heartbroke, heartbound. There is, upon eating firecrackers, heartburn. We can take heart, have heart, be heartened. One. Can be a hearter; it. I heart you, original author unknown. May 10, 2013 at 6:45 AM. Heart to Heart, a conversation many people initiate, but rarely ever have. Teach Your...
