It’s that time of the year again, (already) on Friday we are heading south for a welcome return to the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival. A weekend of sunshine, singing, pasties and beer, not necessarily in that order. We have 7 booked gigs plus all the impromptu stuff, it might be quite quiet in our houses next week! The South Devon Shanty Crew. Skip to primary content. April 19, 2015. Well blow me down and shiver me timbers! A great evening was had by all singing the sun down at Froward Point. Thanks to the organisers for some great refreshments and the fire. We enjoyed having a very responsive audience with lots of singing along, A great venue with clear skies, a brilliant sunset and a tad too much wind (weather related). Our stage was one of the WW2 6inch gun bases with a panoramic view of Start Bay.

Photographic records exceeding 15000 items. Maps of Galashiels and area. A glass slide collection. Books, leaflets and pamphlets of local interest. Club events are held in the Volunteer Hall, St Johns Street, Galashiels. At 730pm on Wednesday evenings throughout winter. Places of interest are visited in summer.
