Monday, December 3, 2012. Based Djinn and a Speed Paint. The rat's a familiar from one of the Reaper familiar packs. Now, basing the djinn. I'm doing a sand base. Here's my sand:. Lots of people use playground sand. I don't. Playground sand is very regular. Mine there has lots of different colors and sizes of grit, which I think looks more natural. Sadly, I'm not sure where it came from. Might have been from putting in a sidewalk and/or retaining wall. Might have been a beach. Dena: Hair, Face, Bikini.

Tuesday, July 15, 2014. This is a tutorial on how I did Nandi's hair. This is the original figure:. I was using the character Nandi from the Firefly episode Heart of Gold. Nandi was played by Melinda Clarke. You can Google the actress or the character for pictures of the original. In the episode, her hair was mostly dark brown, but under any kind of light the highlights went to red. So, I was going for brunette with a lot of red in it. You will do better getting it from her directly than my version.

Saturday, November 22, 2014. Here's the ghost, finished. The colors on the base don't look that 'ocean-y'. It can be a pool of aether or evil dreams or.well, whatever. She's done, and I am content with her. Next project is this guy. I'm going to use him to run some experiments on painting copper, which I'll be using for real on another figure.
