For those who believe in casseroles. Thursday, December 27, 2007. I found this in a cookbook from our church in South Dakota. Thank you, Phyllis Kruiter. 1 lb Velveeta cheese. 4 lb powdered sugar. 1 tbsp. vanilla. Walnuts, as desired. Mix butter and Velveeta cheese; melt in microwave. Add 1 cup cocoa and 4 pounds powedered sugar. Then add vanilla and nuts. This makes 2 9x13 inch pans of fudge. Then I did an image search, and there are lots of results. Could this actually be good? Really real American food.

For those who believe in casseroles. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Today I burnt the crap out of a pan trying to cook tuna. I was pretty sure that I ruined the pan because I couldn't scrape off the gross burnt parts no matter how hard I tried. I called my mom and she told me to boil water and baking soda in the pan for 15 minutes. so I did, and when I dumped out the water, the pan was completely clean! This recipe doesn't really go with the theme of this blog, but I'm posting it anyway because I like it, and because there's not a whole lot of posting going on in general. Today I won $5 on a scratch off lotto ticket. That's a free bottle of wine! You need: mushrooms, red wine, butter. Cook the mushrooms in a frying pan for a little bit. try to get most of the water out of them. Throw in a bunch of butter, melt. Pour in a bunch of red wine.

For those who believe in casseroles. Saturday, April 19, 2008. Different fruit salads, cont'd. Roasted Red Pepper and Peach Salad. It's really, really worth the effort of roasting the peppers. 2 green or red bell peppers. 2 large, ripe peaches, skinned and stoned. 2 tbsp. olive oil. 2 tbsp. lemon or pomegranate juice. Some fresh mint or dill leaves, chopped. Salt and pepper to taste. Thursday, April 17, 2008. Nothing says summer like "suddenly salad"! 2 cups uncooked shell pasta. 1 cup frozen peas, thawed.
