Goosh!: Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will only cause permanent psychological damage.

A snapshot inside the mind of a jersey bean, exiled in England. Thursday, 18 December 2014. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will only cause permanent psychological damage. And Im not alone apparently. But the reality of course is that recovery is possible. (Just like in physical health issues) – if only we can learn to remove the taboos. I’ve got Pure Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), General Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Hypochondria. There’s nothing ‘general’ about GAD. Permanently on ed...

Goosh!: Daddy to the rescue
http://goosh-jerseysteve.blogspot.com/2015/05/daddy-to-rescue.html
A snapshot inside the mind of a jersey bean, exiled in England. Saturday, 16 May 2015. Daddy to the rescue. A few days ago Wifey was taken quite ill with a nasty infection. The upshot being that Daddy ‘Danger’ Goodchild was in charge for the next 4 scary days. Not only was I working (from home), I was also full time parent and even an imbecile with the faintest of nous will know that this is a tall order. However, I devoid myself of all emotion and apply simple logic:. 2200 – lights out. At one point I w...

Antarctic Boy: March 2008
http://antarctic-boy.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
For 18 months I'm working as a chippy for the British Antarctic survey. Wednesday, 12 March 2008. Hi to you all back in sunny Blighty. I hope all's going well back home with everyone? I broke my rib a couple of weeks ago which was a pain in the ass as far as getting out climbing or skiing is concerned but it's slowly healing so I should be back at it soon enough. Hope you like the pics. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Antarctic Boy: Flying High!
http://antarctic-boy.blogspot.com/2008/01/flying-high.html
For 18 months I'm working as a chippy for the British Antarctic survey. Monday, 7 January 2008. Hey there everyone,. I've been out for 4 flights so far since I've arrived and have all been pretty spectacular if not for the views for the fact that the pilots do lots of low level stuff and fly up through glaciers and around peaks etc. which makes for some very twitchy moments although they're all extremely experienced so I'm sure I'm in safe hands. Are you doing any work at all? 8 January 2008 at 06:18.

Antarctic Boy: They remind me of Joey!
http://antarctic-boy.blogspot.com/2008/01/they-remind-me-of-joey.html
For 18 months I'm working as a chippy for the British Antarctic survey. Tuesday, 8 January 2008. They remind me of Joey! I had to go to a place called Leone Island today to take down an old emergency hut and as we had a few hours I thought I'd go and sit with the locals and discuss a few things. As you can imagine they didn't have much to say but they do come across as such placid creatures and when I took the pics would only have been about five feet away! Keep posting and don't work to hard. Would love...

Goosh!: February 2012
http://goosh-jerseysteve.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
A snapshot inside the mind of a jersey bean, exiled in England. Friday, 17 February 2012. Last week, during my daily commute back home, I happened upon this wonderful spectacle: a murmuration of starlings. Over the next few days I managed to capture several movies on my Smartphone. I used to think I was quite cool and 'with it' but now Im just happy if the mail arrives on time.

Under the Radar.....: March 2006
http://notsocrankyyankee.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Quietly cruising through life without a fuss. Thursday, March 30, 2006. I've been on the road since Sunday and since I have my laptop thought I'd pop out a quick post. Since then I have been to Bombay and back, all with a miserable cold. It sucks flying like this! I realize this is not the best picture, but you can see the buds on the trees (pink) in the foreground. I think Paris will be in full springtime bloom in just a couple of weeks! And some pineapple juice. Cranky (standing behind kids): "RAYMOND,...
