There are two docks out front, affording plenty of space for parking boats as well as relaxing and playing in and around the water. The shoreline is rocky and tapers off very quickly. There is a diving board and a good spot for climbing in and out of the water. The lake in front of the cottage is deep and clean with no reeds or seaweed. Proudly powered by WordPress.

It has two fridges, a double-sink, dishwasher, microwave, and ceramic top electric stove. It is well-equipped for cooking for large groups. The dining room table has a built-in leaf and six chairs. Fairhaven Island is situated close to Beaumaris, a part of Lake Muskoka that was developed early, mostly by wealthy families from the United States. The islands that surround Fairhaven tend to be lightly populated, affording lots of privacy. Dumbiedikes features a huge wrap-around veranda on the ground floor and a small porch on the second floor. Three of the upstairs bedrooms have double beds, one has a queen and one has twins. The downstairs bedroom has a twin. All beds have good quality mattresses and box springs. EV’s grandson Ted Tillson did extensive renovations to the downstairs, putting in large picture windows, adding a dining room, extending the kitchen and making two rooms in the living area into a “greatroom” with a sitting area and fireplace on one side and a versatile open space on the other.
