Randy Moore's paternal grandmother, Grace Hillman Moore, moved from Pleasant Grove, Utah in 1920 to teach in a one room school in Angle, Utah. She first stayed at the Pines Hotel, hence the beginning of the Moore's history in Marysvale. Randy and Katie Moore moved from Layton, Utah to Marysvale in June 1994.
