There are so many varieties of events and places to go. In Brean itself there's the Leisure complex boasting a fun park, swimming pools, golf course and entertainments. It's a bit of a children's paradise. There's the animal farm on the way from Brean to Berrow which has a large indoor childrens play area as well as all kinds of domestic and not so domestic animals. Local markets are on most days of the week including the popular farmers market in Burnham on Sea, and Wells.

Carnival in Somerset dates back 400 years and is one of the most spectacular free events today. It is the worlds largest illuminated winter carnival. The floats are built and designed by dedicated carnival clubs who work relentlessly throughout the year. Many carts use up to 30,000 light bulbs and can be over 100 ft long.
