Wednesday, April 2, 2008. The Cost of Gas and The Old Ten-Speed. On return from running (literally) my daughter to school I witnessed something life-altering. A 40-year-old friend and neighbor was swiftly riding an old ten-speed bicycle, dressed for work and wearing a ridiculous helmet. I shouted with curiosity, "You fighting the gas prices? Have you ever seen HOT ROD? I'm not recommending the movie (Paul does though) - but these guys look like they walked off the set. July 11, 2008 at 8:27 AM. This day will never be forgotten. The looks we got, the smiles, the laughs, we had too much fun to explain. If everyone would join in with us they would know.
