Scoopin’ Sweetness →. More Fun than Fruit Salad. December 11, 2011. Usually during the holidays, we all look forward to the classics, but this year there was a welcome replacement at the table. This is definitely no fruit salad:. 1 (16 ounce) container Cool Whip, thawed. 1 (3 1/2 ounce) box French vanilla instant pudding. 4 large apples, peeled and diced (I leave a couple unpeeled for color). 6 Snickers candy bars, diced (I leave out about 1/4 cup for garnish). Fold in apples and Snickers.

Tired of wasting time and gas, I decided to expand my substitution expertise. A few of the more interesting finds:. 8211; 1 (1 ounce) square unsweetened chocolate. 1 teaspoon Baking powder. 8211; 1/4 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar, or 1/4 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/2 cup buttermilk (decrease liquid in recipe by 1/2 cup). 1 cup Evaporated milk.
