I dag har vi blitt 70 ansatte, halvparten av produksjonen selges til land utenfor Norge og vi har høstet mange utmerkelser for design og entreprenørskap. Oleanas ambisjon er å lage vakre plagg med et uttrykk og en kvalitet som gjør at folk blir glad i dem. Mange av designene har en lang historie bak seg og er eksempler på hvordan kulturelvene flyter på tvers eller langs av land og kontinenter og ulike materialer.

Loves socks, and most other knitted items. Thursday, March 29, 2012. Beginning of a Garden. Good gardeners probably keep a record of what seeds they planted and on what day. I am not a good gardener. But, look at what is growing! Sun Gold tomatoes are in the un-stick'ed pots. Sweet Cherry 100's are in the pot with the "100" stick. Basils are in the pot with the "B" stick. It was a Maggie Bonanomi Day! I have had this book for a couple of years. "Comfort Zone" by Maggie Bonanomi. I think I bought it here.

They had these nice grocery totes:. And, this nice beer. Copenhagen is a "crisp refreshing beer brewed with all natural ingredients and cold filtered for purity". And, it's shelf-neighbor "Budweiser". Saturday, July 16, 2011. The BEST, best day! Visiting my DREAM JOB of putting sleeves (or collars, in this case) on Oleana sweaters.

I spun all of it on my drop spindle using the "navajo 3 ply on the fly" method. At the time I had no idea what kind of project I would make. Wow, that is amazing! It's my first time spinning such a fluffy merino. The other roving I have is comparatively slippery and does not have as much loft as this wool. It looked like cotton candy on the distaff. I 2 ply spun the wool. On my drop spindle. I spun just over 200 yards from the cotton candy roving and added another 64 yards of green merino to lengthen the scarf. This multi colored acrylic yarn pooled really nicely, making an interesting swirl pattern. Every stitch is cabled creating a cool woven look. I used i-cord to make a knot button. Finished the tatted stripe pouch after attempting to use a purse frame then a snap frame, I decided I looked best as a draw string bag. The tatting is size 20 cotton and the bag is royal navy blue cotton velvet and vintage grosgrain ribbon. The lining is dark blue. Your blog is always so interesting to read!
