spangled: September 2013
http://spangledblog.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 20, 2013. It was decided a few months ago that I would run the Red Rock Relay down at Zion's National park. FYI this race is just like Ragnar. FYI Ragnar is a team of 12, each person running 3 times, over about 36 hours continuously. So I did some mediocre training, since I am not a "runner." And I was nervous but hoped it'd be more fun and not painful. Here we are (Kanani got cut off there at the bottom) before heading up to our first exchange. The 12 of us! Kara was impressed after Do...

spangled: February 2014
http://spangledblog.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Catching up on projects. Decorating is never done. Especially when. you're me. I made my headboard a few months ago. Our bedroom is almost. I'll be posting final pics on that soon. Here was our living room. it was coming together except for this dang light. which you can't even see really well but I've always hated it. The style just wasn't right and Aaron wasn't stoked about me spending a lot of money for a new light. I like it, I don't love it, but hey. $15? They had to go.

spangled: November 2013
http://spangledblog.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 17, 2013. In the spirit of November and Thanksgiving, I am grateful for awesome friends. I have long-distance friends that I've had for a decade (or more! Some I met within the last few years with Aaron's job, and some I'm just now getting to know and think are pretty awesome. One of the perks of living in Utah, is that there are lots of young moms with young kids, and often with similar interests as me. I always have something to do, and can find someone to hang out with =). This time o...

spangled: December 2012
http://spangledblog.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 30, 2012. We headed up to Yakima, WA to my hometown to spend the holidays with my family. So great. Lots of noise, lots of kids, and lots of things to entertain Carter. In fact, I barely saw him. But it's always so fun to be around family. Before we left town, we opened the majority of the Christmas presents we got each other in our little family. Carter got a tool set from his Grandpa Dave. He was pretty stoked about that. Some shots of us getting ready to go sledding! The TJ Maxx in Ya...

The Governor's Daughter: a tower of giraffes
http://thegovernorsdaughter.blogspot.com/2015/04/a-tower-of-giraffes.html
A tower of giraffes. Thursday, April 9, 2015. Before my last baby was born, I had some nervous energy so I created and sewed lots and lots of giraffes. Oh, I love them. All of my daughters like them. Happy to hold them, sleep with them and chew on them. I made them for all of my daughters classmates for Christmas. We had a grand time picking out each fabric for each child. It was a delight to create them and we prayed Gods' blessing over each child as we sewed their giraffe. I am happy to take orders!
