Monday, April 26, 2010. This Wednesday will be week four since the embolization of my tumour was complete. Originally I was expecting to get scan results two weeks post embolization. Sunday, March 21, 2010. As per plan I had my first MRI on Friday, two weeks after my last treatment. The reason for the scan is to evaluate how treatment is going so far. The plan is to send the films to the neurosurgeon and ENT sugeon where a decision will be made on the next step. Expecting to hear back tomorrow or Tuesday at latest. Tuesday, February 16, 2010. I haven't been blogging lately as the treament has meant all I can do is sleep. The treatment is 5 radiotherapy sessions per week (Monday to Friday) plus one chemotherapy on Tuesday. I was dreading the chemotherapy today as I was so weak and I didn't think I was able for it. Sunday, March 7, 2010. At last I feel up to updating the blog, so Estef is giving me a hand at the moment. The last few weeks have taken a lot of energy out of me but things are looking better now. I finished the last session of chemotherapy on Tuesday and radiotherapy on Friday (4 chemotherapy sessions and 28 radiotherapy sessions). The plan now is to rest and allow the treatment to settle for the next four weeks, then re-do some scans and make a decision on the next step to be taken.
