I picked Vermeer’s. Because I liked the intensity of the painting. The subject looks geared up to go out and chart the world. The way he is posed makes him seem like he’s staring at something off-screen (or I guess off-painting) with such earnestness. This is a work entitles. Lamentation (The Mourning of Christ). I chose this painting because it spoke to me. You can see the and feel the pain and anguish in the figures faces. I helgen sprang jag Midnattsloppet med jobbarkompisarna från Life. Fasen va gött tänkte jag, men efter att ha sprungit ytterligare en kilometer ser jag på en skylt att vi precis sprungit 7 km.
