This is the annual OU Tour - the three handicap race distances (5 mile, 5 k and 10 k) run all in one week on the Monday, the Wednesday and the Friday. Friday, 3 December 2010. I just wanted to post this here in case it disappears. At its most prosaic the river is a boundary, at its most practical it is a resource. For my mother it is the ‘dark water’ (an object of fear) and indeed for others it is a killer and a grave.
