A number of streets in the town are decorated with flags flowers and buntings and palm leaves are spread on the floor. On each street is a carefully decorated shrine, this celebration dates back to the 13th century. Each shrine is blessed by the priest during a precession that passes along each street. Great feedback from guests and we’ve met some interesting people also. Mostly our first clients were all self guide walkers from either The Netherlands or UK arranged by tour operators who specialise in this field. All of which we were able to supply. I found it in Fuengirola for a very reasonable 150 Euros!

Sorry for not updating you guys sooner…we had some last minute negotiations to conclude before we could go ahead and set a completion date for the hotel! BUT WE’VE NOW DONE IT! Wednesday was a really busy day and we arrived at the hotel at 5pm and managed to sign contracts at 10pm! Thursday was a whirlwind with us trying to set up the bar and restaurant, filling fridges, cooking food and generally trying to make the place ready for our first clients.
