Our earliest start so far-we were on the road by around 9:15. Previous to this, we were riding generally by 11:15 or so. Leaving the campground, the road follows the shoreline of Crescent Bay, a lovely arc of white sand beach, maybe a mile or longer. We saw a group (herd? Of otters just offshore catching fish and devouring them. Go TOUR DE PENINSULA!

The Olympic Bike Adventure is September 15th 2013 and is produced by the Sequim Sunrise Rotary, and the Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department. Enjoy riding the Metric Century (100km/60 mi) or 25 or 10 miles on the off-road Olympic Discovery Trail that winds through valleys and along the shoreline of some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in the world. As construction on it continues, the trail will eventually connect Port Townsend, Sequim and Port Angeles west to Lake Ozette on the coast.
