Valley, Nebraska Sesquicentennial. Saturday, August 16, 2014. Saturday, August 16, 2014, 11 members of Omaha Symphonic Winds performed for the Valley, NE Sesquicentennial. Since Valley was founded in 1864, during the Civil War, the group represented the typical band of the period and played authentic musical arrangements that included patriotic songs and quicksteps.
