Most students entering the university are selected based on their performance in the high school exam, given in the final year of school. Student enrollment has grown from 500 in 1986 to more than 10,000 in 2005. More than half of the students live off campus due to space constraints. It currently has around 15000 students. Female students form about half of the total population.
