Her books and research have been very transformative for me, and because of that, I was able to practice the title of this piece. I told my story, to my daughter, who had earned, and desperately needed, to hear it. It was so scary. It was painful. It was gut wrenching. And I was grateful. Here's why. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, he decided to apply to Dixie State University. He was accepted! He loves St. George, UT! And so NOW he is going to Dixie State! I've done yoga, cleansing breaths, reading scriptures and the Ensign, meditation, making sure I actually make it to church each week, and deep prayer on an almost hourly basis. It's not working. Yes, she is graduating early, so he goes off in August and she graduates in January. Her plan is online classes at home while working full-time until she can go to school in the fall. Everyone is joining gyms, starting workouts, trying diets, and resolving to lose weight. And I'm over here eating ice cream, chocolate, and potato chips. So, I've tried to embrace this. The first thing that occurred to me was this: If I were invited to meet with the Savior, would I be ashamed because I am chubby? Would I decline because I was ashamed?
