Omatozu is home to 13 different species of game including Kudu, Gemsbuck, Springbuck, Impala, Hartebeest, Eland, Zebra, Giraffe, Waterbuck and Ostrich to name a few. Nocturnal animals such as porcupine, ant-bear, honey badger and brown hyena all form part of the ecosystem. Carla was one of the first women in Namibia to qualify as a trophy hunting guide. She was a successful Boergoat breeder for many years and later also bred Simbra cattle. Carla is passionate about travelling and has toured Southern and East Africa extensively. Arthur is a retired Veterinarian who specialised mainly in large animals and wild life. He was involved in research on Cheetah with the Cheetah Conservation Fund. Arthur was also a highly successful Simbra cattle breeder.
