Wave Grids Please view the grids below. – There are four different grids that we have worked on. The first wave shows the shift towards mass education and first of many theories is discussed. This wave also shows women being excluded from learning and the way that DE was conducted was through pen, paper and the mail system. The fourth wave is the wave of the future. My definition of DE has grown to encompass different theories and methods of teaching. This includes andragogy which is teaching strategies that focus on adults, pedagogy which is the best teaching methods and heutagogy which is a form of self-determined learning.
