It’s True →. January 20, 2010 · 11:20 am. I have been reluctant to post this until we were sure. Today is the day of Tristan’s pre-admin appointment for his biopsy, and we are at home. He is better! I know that time alone may be what healed him. The doctors and I had discussed this possibility when we made the appointment. We should have gotten to the work they need in fall, but better late than never. I daydream of making a little sewing business up, not so much for true profit as cost offset for our own needs. Monday, July 21, 2008. Unschool v. School. Education From the Free Eye. Written by Kevin Snavley. Why do my parents and unschooling parents everywhere preach it's a bad place to be? Why is unschooling so much better? I got all of my answers. Definitely not the kind of "hanging out" I was used to. At that point it seemed like a stupid reason to want to be there. Some of my favorite classes were Honors English 1, Japanese 1, and Jazz Choir. Those were the best. Would I recommend sending a kid to school?

The kids helped me finish getting all of the urbanite from under the house. I'm not sure why it was there. I entertained lots of reasons why it might be there but all of them ended in someone was lazy. So those big pieces of concrete were there because of laziness- and now they are not. We did it. This is the dry-stack back side. i did this to keep the dirt of the garage wall. Fruit is really starting to set. these are second tier of tomatoes. One of our tomatoes died. tabitha put this pepper in the vacant spot. Closing in on tennis ball size. not quite there yet. This is our compost tea set-up. high tech isn't it?

So in an effort to try to get his room ready for his birthday in August last weekend Friday I started digging the trench for the bamboo guard. Several blisters later and a mild sun burn I buried the heavy plastic barrier two and a half feet deep. Everywhere you see exposed dirt was completely thick with bamboo culms. Miserable digging- not as bad as Ozark rocky clay soil though. The super dwarf peach.
