The GRIMMER test is an extension of the GRIM test and allows for testing measures of variability in addition to means. Through a mathematical discovery I am able to quickly check whether statistics of any size and precision are mathematically possible. Rounding issues and how computers store numbers can affect the accuracy of the test. See the help page. A preprint detailing how the test works is available here. The GRIM test was developed by James Heathers and Nicholas Brown. An excellent overview of the test was written by James HERE. And their test has been preprinted HERE. They have an excel calculator for their test HERE. The GRIM test should be part of the standard screening process for new articles, and to simplify its use and help people understand the test I have implemented the GRIM test below. The test below will allow for any number of decimal places, samples, and Likert categories. If your value is a percent convert it to a decimal. Note that the sample size determines how many decimal places you can check. With a sample size of 1-99 you can check two decimal places. Most uploads on Figshare with the label "Paper" are not actually preprints and as a result it is difficult to accurately index preprints from Figshare.
