Monday, June 15, 2009. The spring sports are wrapping up - softball is done - we also finished up the end of baseball. Mr. C finished with a bang, pulling in several home runs and quite a few RBI's and doing a great job. Still resolutely resisting the coach who *really* wants him to sign up for football. Wednesday, June 3, 2009. I got some honey that was on sale at the local store, brought it home and noticed that the label says "Little Honey Bear" and then in tiny print 'blend'. Exactly what can you blend with honey that looks like honey? I am thinking to myself. 1 ingredient in this tasty offering? The strings were beyond cheap, and so i had to replace them - but it'll at least make sounds (even if it isn't really in-tune) so the munchkins just love playing with them. Mrs. Miller is having a baby in august, and A is afraid she won't see her again for a while - amazing how attached they can become in one short year. Thursday, February 26, 2009. We were supposed to have the Pinewood derby last month, but it got canceled due to snow. So, we did it this month instead of pack meeting. D and A were totally stoked! I told him that I wasn't sure that superglue was the best option; it has to be applied very carefully so that it doesn't get on the wheels. Friday, January 30, 2009. I am thankful for. Heat in every room of the house (we used to dress in winter coats every time we went out of the playroom). A hot shower (which was WAY overdue! No extension cords running through the house. Family and friends who open their house and hearts to help. All the conveniences i normally take for granted.
