Cheap-Date's Views on Life. Friday, July 31, 2009. Another Week Gone By! It was another quick week here in Central Massachusetts. The big news of the week is that Chelsea is finally potty-training! She has had a good week and really made some progress in that department. Tuesday night John and Chelsea went out for ice cream. I really wanted to go, also. But, Travis wanted to ride his bike instead (I think I got the wrong kid at the hospital.no kid of mine should be turning down ice cream! Because Chelsea...

Finish Your Quilt Guide. Camera Strap Cover Tutorial. January 14, 2009. These are really easy, and make a great gift. They fit any standard DSLR camera strap, (Canon/Nikon) my strap is about 2″ wide. I made mine two sided, but if you wanted just one fabric like the one above, just make one strip about 5.5″ wide. 1 Cut two strips 2.75″ by 27″ long. 2 Sew the strips right sides together, then press seam open. 8 trim the inside edge seam allowance, it makes more room to slide the strap in and out. Slide in ...

Travis on his field trip to the Zoo. I wonder where she gets that from! Chelsea in true princess form! Construction is done on the inside of the house. We love it!

Cheap-Date's Views on Life: October 2008
http://selfdeclaredbargainhunter.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Cheap-Date's Views on Life. Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Travis helped Daddy by drawing a face on his pumpkin. He was very excited and wanted it to get done as soon as possible. I think he was a little surprised to see how long carving a pumpkin actually takes. Chelsea was a lot more laid back (read: absolutely not. Interested) in her Jack-O-Lantern. She walked away before the planning started and came back for a glance until it was picture time. Then she hammed it up just like always. The weekends have re...

Cheap-Date's Views on Life. Monday, May 25, 2009. Memorial Day Weekend. Hello Summer! The rest of the weekend after Football Saturday was nice and restful. The perfect way to welcome summer. If only the school calendar was cooperating. Not so much as we have 20 days left. Oh well. Still better than punching a clock in an office. The little duck family figurines are Chelsea's favorites. She used to talk to them last summer. It is a good thing those kids are cute! Ice cream waster number 1. She was so mad.

Cheap-Date's Views on Life. Sunday, April 26, 2009. What can I say? Especially when that queen knows the powerful effect of a fine pair of froggy galoshes paired with a simple Red Sox shirt! Here is Chelsea fresh from a tubby and ready for bed. Ribbit Ribbit! It was Opening Day for Little League yesterday! This is Travis's first year playing. I think he likes it. He gets bored waiting for all of the kids to bat each inning (it is kind of like watching paint dry, actually! Rich Gedman (a former Red Sox pl...

Cheap-Date's Views on Life. Monday, November 2, 2009. I know I am two days late with this wish! Halloween has come and gone. Guess what I am doing right now. I am listening to Christmas Music. Yup. CHRISTMAS MUSIC! Travis's soccer season came to an end this weekend (and not too soon, by the way! He really did learn a lot this season. He is a natural on defense. When I played field hockey I remember feeling so much more comfortable in a defensive position. I think Travis is too. Here is Travis as Buzz!

Two adults. opposite schedules! You can see where this is going, right? The butcher block before we oiled it. The backsplash project in progress. The new look around the stove. Chelsea is still in ballerina mode! Here she is posing in the tutu that she got from Uncle Scott, Tita, Sweet Caroline and Isabel. Actually I have been thinking ab...
