What good is a gala? April 14, 2015. When many people think of a gala, they think of lavish dresses and fancy clothes, expensive dishes and tiny serving sizes, a whole lot of gratuitous back-slapping and lots of fake people. They think that the only people who benefit from a gala are the organization and the important people. The thing is that, while this is what it looks like, who really benefits are the many people that the gala is for. The company that hosts the gala will support the local economy.
