Thoughts On the Nature of Fishing. December 9, 2014. June 16, 2015. The Sea of Life: Autumn Transitions in Coastal New England. Off the beach,. The sand launce, had collected in great schools that gorged on millions of tiny copepods in the Gulf of Maine’s cool waters. The sand launces which had lost much of their weight after spawning in early summer were now full bellied fish the size of short pencils. They shimmered as the tide carried them inshore and then off again. October 22, 2014. You are commenti...

Chasing the Scraps: October 2014
http://scrapchaser.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 19, 2014. Some fisheries can be downright intimidating. The current river we're camped on defines this for me. Many fisheries are intimidating right off the bat just due to newness. Figuring out where to fish is just the start. When dealing with a large river you also may question your casting skills and think you must boom out spey casts to even stand a chance. Next up I'll be trying to catch some warmwater species on our travels to Tennessee. Labels: dry line steelhead.
