http://thebustedathlete.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Weekend warrior with a goal to be healthy again after hip arthroscopy surgery. I used to run and bike, now I just rehab and ice. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Here we go again. I haven't posted must mostly because things were going really well. I was back to running, biking, hiking, doing pilates and keeping up with my weight training. I had finally gotten to the point where I had no limitations on activities and the hip was staying (mostly) quiet. The pain so far is not anywhere near where I was pre-surgery...

A year. I'm not planning on really racing it, though - I mean, I just. Graduated from the run/walk so while I can cover the distance, there's really no point in pushing the speed. But I'm still working on my pre-race "stuff" tonight, for old time's sake:. December 7, 2014 at 11:29 AM. I know how you feel!

The Busted Athlete: Happy Thanksgiving!
http://thebustedathlete.blogspot.com/2014/11/happy-thanksgiving.html
Weekend warrior with a goal to be healthy again after hip arthroscopy surgery. I used to run and bike, now I just rehab and ice. Saturday, November 29, 2014. The autoimmune protocol diet went off the rails a little this week. I tried eggs over the weekend and felt horrible, so I know those are a potential issue. I wanted to try a few other things, but instead of doing it one at a time like you are supposed to, it sort of went like this:. Monster walks side-to-side and back at a 45 degree angle. In other ...

http://www.dothingsalways.com/2014/07/eating-right-for-night-race.html
Staying mostly sane through running and fitness. The Blog and Me. Thursday, July 24, 2014. Eating Right for a Night Race. I watch what I'm eating/drinking a good month before the race. Typically I have 1 day off at the weekend but not in the last 2 weeks before race day. Yes - rice and rice pasta. No - pop/alcohol/deep fried stuff. Trial and error (mostly error I think) has led me to some conclusions. Resist the compulsion to keep stuffing down the calories because you think you need the fuel. Bottle of ...
