http://onebeautifulquilt.blogspot.com/2013/03/baby-toys.html

The little things we do make us who we are, just like fabric pieces add up to make one beautiful quilt. 123andXYZ (My Etsy Store). Saturday, March 23, 2013. I remember getting a mini blanket with ribbons on the edge for my first son and thinking, "uhhhh. grrreeeaaattt. What am I suppose to use this for? Well, let me tell you that I was wrong to be so skeptical of the toy. It is fabulous! I had been given two and let me tell you. I was glad to have two! I will sell these toys at my etsy store, 123&XYZ.

The little things we do make us who we are, just like fabric pieces add up to make one beautiful quilt. 123andXYZ (My Etsy Store). Tuesday, March 12, 2013. 2013 goals update - please help! The blue is what I added to give you my update. It's sometimes scary to critique yourself. I think I need to remember my goals so this was a great opportunity to refresh myself on my goals. I feel like my goal accomplishment is mediocre overall - great in some areas and not as awesome in others. Form a Cleaning Habit.

The little things we do make us who we are, just like fabric pieces add up to make one beautiful quilt. 123andXYZ (My Etsy Store). Friday, April 26, 2013. Breastfeeding, pooping, and growing. Or if your baby is premie, your body makes more colostrum so that the milk has more antibodies/fat. It is also easier to digest and the poop smells weirdly pleasant (for poop). But, what about when your baby isn't gaining enough weight? Alrighty - about a week after writing the first section. I am a Mommy of two in ...

One Beautiful Quilt: Growing up

The little things we do make us who we are, just like fabric pieces add up to make one beautiful quilt. 123andXYZ (My Etsy Store). Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Little Brother is now sitting by himself. Here is some proof:. He isn't sitting by himself in this picture - but he is just so cute! And let's not leave big brother out. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a Mommy of two in the process of learning how to be a wonderful woman as a wife and mommy. During naps, I enjoy scrapbooking and sewing.

Elsie's Notes from New England: Guilt and the Irony of Faculty/Staff Parking

http://elsiesnotesfromnewengland.blogspot.com/2014/02/guilt-and-irony-of-facultystaff-parking.html

Elsie's Notes from New England. Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Guilt and the Irony of Faculty/Staff Parking. I stole someone's parking spot today. I mean, not technically; the spots are first-come, first-served, but I know that I did and I'm not sure how I feel about it. If' I'm coming to campus later in the day - after 10:30 am - who knows where I can park? And even as the thought occurred to me, I felt guilty. Was it wrong of me to take someone else's spot, even if the spots aren't assigned? FEEDJIT Liv...

Elsie's Notes from New England: December 2013

http://elsiesnotesfromnewengland.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Elsie's Notes from New England. Friday, December 13, 2013. The Biscuit Story - Part Deux, or Christmas Cookies. It's taken about thirty years for me to get to tell the end of this story. Hopefully you've read the beginning. This is Scarlett. She is two. She brought her parents to visit us for Thanksgiving this year. Helping Grandpa decorate the tree. I am ashamed to admit how proud I was of myself - not a single "No! Would you like to scoop some flour? I asked her. She would, indeed! Links to this post.

Elsie's Notes from New England: What a difference a day makes...

http://elsiesnotesfromnewengland.blogspot.com/2014/09/what-difference-day-makes.html

Elsie's Notes from New England. Monday, September 22, 2014. What a difference a day makes. This is an old post I never got around to actually posting. It's from late March/early April. Nothing earth shattering; just my life. Cause that's where I was sure I was headed. This morning, I woke up and lay there, evaluating my health. No aches. No nausea. No fever. Really? I couldn't believe it. I got up and gingerly puttered around for a bit to see if the dizziness returned. Nope. I was fine. Craig and daniell...

Elsie's Notes from New England: A little heart to heart

http://elsiesnotesfromnewengland.blogspot.com/2014/09/a-little-heart-to-heart.html

Elsie's Notes from New England. Thursday, September 25, 2014. A little heart to heart. Speaking of being sick, I had a little epiphany tonight that I thought I'd share. Two weeks ago, I got really sick, out of nowhere. So sick, they had to give me a shot of rocephin in my tush. That's like injecting peanutbutter into your flank - so painful! The thing is, the day will come! And one day I woke up and realized that that part of me was gone. It didn't hurt. It didn't control me. It just didn't e...The chang...

Elsie's Notes from New England: November 2013

http://elsiesnotesfromnewengland.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Elsie's Notes from New England. Friday, November 1, 2013. First frost awakes a nesting urge. To cast aside the summer’s leisure,. Lay in storage all life’s pleasure. Readying for winter’s dirge. With mindset fixed so foolish, firm. I miss the fiery hands that tease. My mind, so resolute, to ease. And memory store, against the term. When winter’s chill tempts to forget. That there exists but ice and gray. Oh, to recall that crisp bouquet! Instead, awaiting spring’s coquette. Links to this post.

Elsie's Notes from New England: July 2013

http://elsiesnotesfromnewengland.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Elsie's Notes from New England. Monday, July 1, 2013. I hate to sweat. I'm also terrified of tornadoes. My sister and I sweat a lot that summer. My socks and shorts were soaked. She tended to sweat on her face, with great drops forming on her forehead and running down to drip off her nose. I thought she looked more impressive when she sweat - with that damp forehead, she epitomized a hard worker. I just had soggy britches; less than impressive. Hmmm This isn't about perspiration anymore, is it?

Elsie's Notes from New England: Autumn Maize

http://elsiesnotesfromnewengland.blogspot.com/2014/10/autumn-maize.html

Elsie's Notes from New England. Saturday, October 11, 2014. Temperatures fall in their cycle. Which turns up the fire. Trees, like Redenbacher’s kernels. Are starting to sizzle in the frost-burn of night. Where the real work is done. Best displayed by collapsing rays. Competing for chroma,. They begin to burst;. One here, another there, random surprises. Then an empty pause. Two here, three there. Resplendent, exhilaratingly bright. Worth the price of impending gray. Til suddenly, the flaring blasts.

Elsie's Notes from New England: February 2013

http://elsiesnotesfromnewengland.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Elsie's Notes from New England. Monday, February 11, 2013. I will go, I will do. Sometimes I'm a little slow to the punch. Let me tell you a little story and see if you get there before I did. I use the word "little" in the figurative sense. This post is longer than normal. You've been warned. I love the scripture. I love Nephi and his history. I looked forward to preparing the talk. What angle would I take? What insights could I share? What had I learned from Nephi's example? Like anything. I went t...

Elsie's Notes from New England: Scripture Study: Words of Mormon-Mosiah 2

http://elsiesnotesfromnewengland.blogspot.com/2014/10/scripture-study-words-of-mormon-mosiah-2.html

Elsie's Notes from New England. Thursday, October 2, 2014. Scripture Study: Words of Mormon-Mosiah 2. They had been diligent? Wait, weren't they stiffnecked just a chapter ago? How do we become spiritually faithful and remain spiritually faithful? How do we keep our covenant of spiritual fidelity with our God? Old King Benjamin has more to teach me, but that's my take away for today. Has this been obvious to everyone else already? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Loving life in New England!

As beautiful as everything was on our trip, I think this part was my favorite. The beauty of the area, the memories of friends visited in the past, and probably the biggest reason–I FINALLY got a bed to sleep in =). Random shot of the desert like areas we drove through-Matt said it reminded him of his mission trips to Mexico.

OneBeautifulRed

Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Life Is Like A Hike. I TRULY BELIEVE that God puts us all together FOR A SPECIAL SET OF REASONS, for his own special purposes. Presently, I'm learning (and remembering again, how it is) that we're all just PEOPLE, not perfect, just wonderfully imperfect people; and we ALL, at one time, and another, get tripped up on pebbles and rocks along our own, God-given path. We- usually- just just move them out of the way. Sometimes we find we actually built a wall. Instead of a ramp. Rememb...

One Beautiful Room | Creating one beautiul room at a time.

Creating one beautiul room at a time. Don’t Rock the Boat, A Balancing Act. September 16, 2011. By considering the visual weight of the objects and patterns that you place in a given space you can create a more comfortable and pleasing atmosphere. Visual weight is determined by the psychological impact it makes on us, and the attention it demands. Here are a few guidelines about visual weight. Large objects appear heavier than small ones, but a grouping of small objects can counterbalance a large object.

onebeautifulstruggle | Just another WordPress.com site

Just another WordPress.com site. Am I paranoid or what. Mentions of kids are everywhere, from the 2012 dragon baby boom that’s steadily blowing up my Facebook newsfeed, to the advent of teen moms as a pop culture statement a la MTV, to celebrity new moms and their ever-expanding bellies….it’s enough to turn any previous anti-baby sentiments into mush. But with the recent news of the reinvigorated 30-yr old case of the first ever missing child. Would you do it? I never thought I’d be. What are the health ...

one beautiful view.

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love." Marcus Aurelius. Wednesday, October 6, 2010. So I'm going to be trying out something new. I know, it's blasphemous. I'm abandoning google's blogger. It's the end of an era. The end of a relationship. A three year love for blogger. But I've found something better (for now). Pretty themes. Link to Twitter. Easier access. It even uploaded all of my old posts! Is to create RELATIONS...
