Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Echo Lake - Brittany's Birthday! On Saturday we took a trip to Echo Lake for Brittany's birthday. It turned out to be cloudy and not a good photo day, so if you want to see nicer photos of a beautiful mountain lake, you can look at. We had a lot of fun, though, and Caylie was a serious mountain climber on her first trip to the mountains! The road out of Denver to Idaho Springs. Yummy lunch at Beau Jo's Pizza in Idaho Springs. From the other side. Heading up the trail. More sand ca...

Five Fingerprints of God. A Family Blog of Hope and a Life in Faith. Saturday, December 28, 2013. Has been a new normal for my family and me. With my mom's illness and passing in the summer, our hearts have been heavy with grief. Then I became ill around Thanksgiving and just couldn't shake it for weeks which made preparing for the season even more difficult. But God . . . He makes all things new . . . That turned out to be an amazingly awesome thing! In fact, one morning Kevin and I realized that our ch...

God > Impossible: Echo Lake
http://altman5.blogspot.com/2014/01/echo-lake.html
Saturday, January 18, 2014. Today we drove up Mt. Evans Road to Echo Lake, which is as far as you can go on the road in the winter. It was a beautiful, blue-sky day. On the highway out of Denver. Looking across frozen Echo Lake. The guys went out walking on it, but Brittany and I stayed safely on the path, haha. The beautiful pine forest around the lake. A little snowman we found on our walk. Sunshine through the trees. Mama and her girls being silly. Daddy and Caylie walking on the ice. Keelan on the ice.

Five Fingerprints of God. A Family Blog of Hope and a Life in Faith. Monday, September 30, 2013. All four of our children, from our littlest to our biggest, sang in the Praise and Worship team yesterday at our church. We were very excited, especially our youngest one. This was going to be Elijah's first time to sing on Family Sunday. He was very eager to do it, and it made him feel so much like a big boy to be part of the service. She loved to hear him sing that song. To say Mom was resistant to atte...

Joy in the Journey. Count it all joy." James 1:2. Sunday, August 17, 2014. Yes, that title would completely describe me right now. Life has been be-bopping along great. Then in the middle of last week we received a call that they had scheduled Sarah Joy's first surgery. that's when the sanity train derailed. My first reaction was "YAY! And of course, the "what if's" worry me the most. I know t...
