One Bunting Away: On Commissions and compromises
http://onebuntingaway.blogspot.com/2015/05/on-commissions-and-compromises.html
Thursday, May 21, 2015. On Commissions and compromises. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I had been asked by someone to make 8 "badges/patches' for 8 different jackets. I have made several "commissions" before, but mostly to people that I know. I met the commissioner here. After he saw one of my brooches on someone who had purchased one that same day. He briefly explained what he wanted for the 8 jackets, and a few days later we met to discuss all the details. Hmmm, questions, questions…. I needed a simp...
One Bunting Away: Tulip season in Holland
http://onebuntingaway.blogspot.com/2015/05/tulip-season-in-holland.html
Monday, May 4, 2015. Tulip season in Holland. This might not be any news for you, especially if you follow me on Instagram. But I love tulip season. I'm always quietly waiting for it to happen, and when it does, I feel I'm ready and fulfilled to wait another year for them to bloom again. I hope this color therapy injects you with a little joy! And a not so stylized version. Our messy dining table, but what the heck, if you're looking at the mess, then you are not really seeing those beauties. May 04, 2015.
One Bunting Away: Small parcels with lots of love
http://onebuntingaway.blogspot.com/2015/05/small-parcels-with-lots-of-love.html
Thursday, May 14, 2015. Small parcels with lots of love. I have always believed in the perfect timing of things and how they find their way to you. These parcels below are amazing examples of excellent timing. They arrived in time to cheer, comfort, reassure and most of all to deliver the love the person invisibly wrapped just for me. My life has felt a bit like a roller coaster lately, and these beautiful and amazing people from far away have made me feel loved, and for that I am deeply grateful. The da...
One Bunting Away: Visiting Solingen and the Klingen Museum
http://onebuntingaway.blogspot.com/2015/05/visiting-solingen-and-klingen-museum.html
Thursday, May 7, 2015. Visiting Solingen and the Klingen Museum. A few weeks ago we decided to visit the Klingen Museum. In Solingen after a tip from a blogging friend. It is only 2 hours and a bit from Amsterdam, and well… I do love scissors, cutlery, knives, pointy things, etc… and this was just that sort of wonderful place. A thousand times swoon! And swoon a bit more…. This one would look perfect in my collection…. How beautiful are these cases with the green and silver? Posted by Giova Brusa. So int...
One Bunting Away: Some days are better than others
http://onebuntingaway.blogspot.com/2015/05/some-days-are-better-than-others.html
Monday, May 18, 2015. Some days are better than others. I briefly mentioned in the last post. How hectic and weird the past weeks have been. A sort of roller coaster of emotions and thoughts have been passing through me almost daily, that I've found it very difficult to concentrate on many of my usual tasks. My sister gave me those words on the title a few years ago, and they seem to always reassure me. Simple and to the point. Having certain objects close by when I'm at my desk, like the one above, alwa...

JOELIX.com - Italian Wisteria
https://www.joelix.com/Italian-Wisteria
Judith de Graaff, a Dutch graphic designer living in France, celebrates places, spaces and faces on her blog and portfolio website. The number of times that we sighed and smelled wisteria during our Blago trip, were countless. I havent seen any wisteria here in the Oise yet, but in Italy they were blooming on every street corner. And because unfortunately I cannot include perfumes on my blog (yet! I tried to capture the purple flowering plant in images. On the Lago Maggiore:. One day, my palm trees.
SuZi gnome MoM: July 2016
http://suzignomemom.blogspot.com/2016_07_01_archive.html
Sharing my thoughts and talents with the world. Monday, July 11, 2016. I see so many of the swappers complaining that the 9 pockets are too much to do. I found a fantastic video on YouTube by Little Hot Tamale. She calls them Mini Pocket Letters and they only use 3 pockets each time. I made up a couple. 2 pockets were filled with ATCs while the 3rd is a shaker pocket with cutouts, sequins, glitter and glass micro beads. This is her video. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Today is the Day. Mail me some art.

SuZi gnome MoM: June 2016
http://suzignomemom.blogspot.com/2016_06_01_archive.html
Sharing my thoughts and talents with the world. Friday, June 24, 2016. Well it's not purple but. I tend to make one-of-a-kind items. Even those based on the same instructions or dimensions have their own personalities. So here is another stationery folder and its contents. You can see the right pocket is deeper while the left became a corner strap. This one took only 2 sheets of 12 x 12 card stock. She says she likes blue and cats. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Today is the Day. Mail me some art.
SuZi gnome MoM: November 2015
http://suzignomemom.blogspot.com/2015_11_01_archive.html
Sharing my thoughts and talents with the world. Friday, November 27, 2015. Time is flying by even faster. Thanksgiving was a blast. Son-in-law cooked with a few added tasty tidbits contributed by Ashley and Diane. Yummmmmm! Played a few games and decorated onesies for the baby shower. Finished up my Whole page Christmas. It looked like this before I added popped images, pearls and paperclips. It still seems a bit plain. I think I will get out the glitter pen. Sunday, November 1, 2015. I love the snowflak...

Sharing my thoughts and talents with the world. Sunday, October 23, 2016. In my shell again. I seem to have hidden in my shell again. Neither creating nor communicating. (in my shell). I want out, I want to be inspired, I want to share. I don't know. Am going to share this with my group and in doing so will force myself to communicate and once it is gone I will have to get creative again. Looks like a winner to me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Today is the Day. Louisville Fossils and Beyond. Time - Part 3.

SuZi gnome MoM: May 2016
http://suzignomemom.blogspot.com/2016_05_01_archive.html
Sharing my thoughts and talents with the world. Saturday, May 28, 2016. Babs arrived yesterday. The gnomes had set up watch for the Postman so they were there to greet her. They seemed very impressed with her shoes and spent the next hour or so arguing about gnome footwear (none) versus human footwear. She will visit for about a week then travel on to some other swapper. During that time I need to take pictures to document her visit. Those pictures will later be e-mailed to the originator. Time - Part 3.

Sharing my thoughts and talents with the world. Monday, March 21, 2016. New look to an old favorite. Recently I joined a swap called 9 Little Pockets - Build Your Stash. I love these sort of swaps because it helps shift things around. I get things I never had and get rid of things I have too much of. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Today is the Day. Louisville Fossils and Beyond. Phanocrinus parvaramus Crinoid Calyx Fossils. Mail me some art. Time - Part 3. Mini paper bag album for swap.

Sharing my thoughts and talents with the world. Saturday, October 17, 2015. New idea and new project. I put these pics on two of the groups I follow on Facebook and met with some enthusiasm. Guess I am headed in the right direction. Wall hanging pocket Advent Calendar. Detail of the back of the pockets. I plan to reinforce the "top" edge and add a ribbon through the holes so it can be hung on the wall. Friday, October 9, 2015. Okay, two things. I have been having this idea rumbling around in my head for ...

One in the Oven
One in the Oven. It looks like we finally have one cooking in the oven! Join us on our journey to becoming parents! Tuesday, December 15, 2009. So that's why I haven't written. At first it was just because we were adjusting to having a new baby - we had 5 days in the hospital - the recovery was quick from the c-section - breast feeding a failure - jaundice a big deal for the first two weeks - a baby who needed to be fed every two hours - it was all a blur at first. Posted by Julie and Dan. As we reach th...

Friday, May 11, 2012. Referenced the coop in my last post and then realized I never loaded any pictures from the building project so for your viewing pleasure. Can you believe how serious they look? Brooke always wants to help Dad. What mother lets her child paint in her school uniform. How did we do? Do they match up? Again - lots of concentration. Measure twice, cut once. Wow, another mom who lets her child paint in a school uniform. The house is even big enough for an eight year old. We became overwhe...
One Bunting Away
Sunday, August 13, 2017. A paper love story. I must write this before the energy fades and/or I become too lazy. A long while ago I won a place on an e-course. There was a competition and I was required to write a post. About why I loved paper. I won! It was proposed (I think last year) that we should meet and create together. Thankfully we have in our group people with amazing organization skills and this meeting didn't end up as another dream. Where we could all fit. I'm happy I made the effort and was...
