Unless you try to do something beyond what you've mastered, you will never grow. -John Maxwell. Saturday, June 27, 2009. Last month I went rappelling and it was a blast. We were 60 feet up at Red Rock Canyon one early Saturday morning. Our guide/instructor, Greg, has been doing this for about 30 years so he has the experience (thank goodness! And the skill (even better! To make sure we are safe. The tough part is going over but once that's done, it's fun! They say just don't look down!

Unless you try to do something beyond what you've mastered, you will never grow. -John Maxwell. Friday, September 4, 2009. San Francisco and Catalina Island! Saw this sign hanging on the wall of the Lobster Trap restaurant we ate at on Catalina Island. That's my new saying. Had a great time and but it's good to be home. Plum Hollow: November 2013
http://plumhollowwv.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 15, 2013. I'm joining Nancy at A Rural Journal. For Random 5 Friday. 3 I'm getting pretty good at spinning fiber. It's quite enjoyable, relaxing and productive. 4 My favorite thing when it snows is watching my dog. He licks it for a bit then digs in with his teeth and eats it as he does food. I've never seen a dog enjoy snow as he does. He won't go outside if it's raining though. Forget it. Not happening. Thursday, November 14, 2013. Marshall University Plane Crash. Bead and Needle: April 2015
http://beadandneedle.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2015. OF BLOOMS AND BIRDS.MORE DESERT GARDEN BEAUTY. I know - looks tropical, huh? I spied two MASSIVE white blooms truly hidden in the garden. Off the beaten path, and probably missed by most.my mind was wandering as I was walking across the parking lot, and caught these out of the corner of my eye, in a remote section. This was, no exaggeration, the size of a salad plate. I'm sure a lot of people missed this one! Ethel Ms Cactus Garden. Monday, April 27, 2015. A WEEK OF DESERT BLOOMS.

Bead and Needle: A FINAL STROLL THROUGH THE GARDEN...
http://beadandneedle.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-final-stroll-through-garden.html
Sunday, May 3, 2015. A FINAL STROLL THROUGH THE GARDEN. Parting shots from the Ethel M Cactus Garden. As our Spring winds down and we head into Summer - always a good sign, honeybees! Various paddle cactus - I can. Tell you the one on the right is a Cow's Tongue Cactus. For loved ones in CO, something you'll rarely see - a lizard crossing Rabbit Ears Pass. Bottom left is a Fire Stick Cactus. Warmer temperatures here, after a week of rain, has trees in bloom all over the place. May 3, 2015 at 10:29 AM.
