Green Thumb – One Farm Wife
https://onefarmwife.wordpress.com/2016/07/07/green-thumb
The story of my life on the family farm. July 7, 2016. The project stared by clearing out the dead or overgrown plants that were already in the area. It is worth noting that this isn’t the first time I have seen Jon remove things in the yard with a vehicle. It must be an effective method. Everything but the giant hosta in the middle was either pulled out or repotted to a new home. A large portion of the newly potted plants left the farm to go to Art and Julie’s house. What plants we couldn’t find a...

The story of my life on the family farm. Learning to Use a Spoon. March 13, 2016. Since becoming a parent, I have been continually surprised and impressed watching Esther learn. Something she catches onto almost immediately, like drinking from a bottle. Others she is still working on, like sitting up and using her hands. It is an amazing process to watch her develop and understand more each day. Among these wonderful things is learning to use a spoon. Continue reading “Learning to Use a Spoon”. I love Ch...
Grammy and Grandpa – One Farm Wife
https://onefarmwife.wordpress.com/2016/05/14/grammy-and-grandpa
The story of my life on the family farm. May 14, 2016. The hardest part of living in Illinois is being so far away from family. Specifically, being far away from Grammy and Grandpa. My parents are the best grandparents. Esther is one spoiled little lady. The best part is that my parents love to spoil her, and to see me in the process. This makes every visit precious time together. Grammy was overly excited to push Esther around town. On our way to the park we came across this lovely church. It was qu...

Friday, May 23, 2014. We had a fabulous vacation to the South a few weeks ago. We figured it was about time that we visited my sister Maisy and her family in Mississippi, especially since they will be moving to Alaska in a few months (don't worry, we'll visit them there too). My parents had flown in the previous week and so our vacations overlapped for a few days; it was great! We flew standby and miraculously we made it on all of our flights. It was Phillip's first time flying and he did awesome! This a...
