The Little Eden Hill Urban Farm

The Little Eden Hill Urban Farm. Sunday, 5 July 2015. So last weekend we were lucky enough to get the Transition Town Guildford Verge Gardening Group together round at ours to help us plant the trees onto our rather large verge that currently just grows useless weeds in winter and is a dry scorched wasteland in summer. Over the course of two hours we managed to dig all three holes, amend the soil and plant all three trees. Weeping mulberry tree before transplant. Mulberry tree located on the verge. I fir...

http://www.onegardengirl.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

The Little Eden Hill Urban Farm. Saturday, 28 December 2013. Been up visiting family over the holidays in Canada and enjoying a lovely cold, white Christmas! Quite a change from Perth and the normal blistering heat that accompanies the festive season! Dave and Sally are keeping the gardens watered and the plants harvested, but don't expect a blog update until I get back late January. Wishing everyone a very happy new year! The Little Eden Hill Urban Farm. Tuesday, 3 June 2014. Wood fired pizza oven. So over the last few months Dave and I have been slowly working towards our goal of getting our own wood fired pizza oven built in our back yard. The hard work all before us. Dave starting to mix up the cement render as the final st...

The Little Eden Hill Urban Farm: September 2014

http://www.onegardengirl.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

The Little Eden Hill Urban Farm. Tuesday, 30 September 2014. In the end we got a whole basket full of new potatoes, ranging in size from the palm of my hand down to little tiny round ones (which taste the best anyway) and ended up having them and a bunch of snow peas from the garden with dinner. Best weeding I've ever done! We're running out of ideas! This is the plan for our gardens this summer, now I just need to make it a reality! Well that's about it for now, just a quick post this time round. :).

One Garden City - Just another WordPress site

Just another WordPress site. This submission has been made recognising that the opening impression of anyone entering the visionary new Garden City will immediately be saying that if they had the opportunity this is really a place that they would love to live in. They would get the impression that this is a city in which to bring up a growing family but equally one which cares for all manners of people. The new city would be built on disused or redundant land. It would benefit from many of the well e...
