Beyers Naude Road is one of the main roads out towards the North West of Joburg. But if you are an up and coming mountain biker, do yourself a favour and turn “off the trail” and head into the old streetfront shopping area of the suburb of Linden. They reached the bottom of the Gamkaskloof and climbed 'The Ladder' yesterday afternoon, doubling up on the pace. Despite some optimistic planning to finish the Karoo section earlier, this is the first day they managed to skip a Support Station to bring the 26 day target closer.
