One Girl, No Uterus: January 2008

http://www.onegirlnouterus.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

One Girl, No Uterus. My life after total abdominal hysterectomy. Abdominal Hysterectomy Recovery Time. When you're facing total abdominal hysterectomy, one of the biggest concerns is the recovery time: how much time will I be out of work? How long will I need help? When can I drive? When can I have sex? When will I be. My answer will be frustrating, I'm sure, but it really does depend. Depend on what, you ask? Well, on so many things, such as:. Your general health prior to surgery. My husband took off a ...

One Girl, No Uterus. My life after total abdominal hysterectomy. I haven't written in such a long time, and I'm sorry for that. It's just that, no matter how overwhelming it seems in the beginning, life does return to normal. Eventually, the hysterectomy becomes just a memory, just a fading scar on the abdomen. I am so very grateful to my doctor for doing the hysterectomy. It was truly the best decision I've ever made. Life without constant pain, bleeding, and mood swings is lovely.

One Girl, No Uterus. My life after total abdominal hysterectomy. Depression After Your Hysterectomy. It's been three weeks since my hysterectomy, and I'm feeling pretty good. physically. Emotionally? Well, that's another story. In my head, I'm perfectly okay with my surgery: I'm looking forward to life without pain and periods. I'm even (mostly) okay with the idea that I'll never have more children. So why am I feeling so weepy? Commercial; I cry. Okay, maybe the dog food. At this point in the game, we'r...

Sans Uterus: A sobering reminder

http://sansuterus.blogspot.com/2009/03/sobering-reminder.html

Saturday, March 7, 2009. Tonight I am feeling sad for an EndoSister. She posted on a forum I frequent; she had a hysterectomy less than a year ago, after fighting endo for years and years - but the endometriosis is back. And if that weren't bad enough, she's dealing with friends and family who doubt her, who think she was cured by her hysterectomy. This has to stop. Empowerment, awareness, education - and fight for a cure. March 12, 2009 at 8:00 PM. Oh, that really saddens me as well! That makes me sick!

Sans Uterus: January 2009

http://sansuterus.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Oh, come on. After talking with some hystersisters about how I'm feeling five weeks post-op, I realized that I am apparently dealing with my ovary going into shock. Night sweats, insomnia, headaches, wild emotions and so on - super fun. Monday, January 26, 2009. Four weeks and five days after my hysterectomy, the stitch on my left incision has finally. Fallen out. Yeah, I know, you're probably thinking, Big deal, so what. So hooray for progress! Saturday, January 24, 2009.

Sans Uterus: there's a hole in my heart that goes all the way to china

http://sansuterus.blogspot.com/2009/04/theres-hole-in-my-heart-that-goes-all.html

Friday, April 24, 2009. There's a hole in my heart that goes all the way to china. I haven't been posting because I've been struggling, and I haven't wanted to get into it too much on this blog. As I explained to my daughter - my body is better now, all healed and strong, but now it's time for healing my heart and making it just as strong. This whole thing took so much out of me, more than I realized until recently, and I am aching. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My journey with Endometriosis. One G...

Sans Uterus: Support

http://sansuterus.blogspot.com/2009/03/support.html

Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Support is so important when you have endometriosis! Talking with others who understand all too well what this disease is like can be enormously comforting - and empowering. One of the support sites I recommend is WeAreEndo.org. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This is also a blog about my battle with endometriosis and adenomyosis. My hysterectomy was due to adenomyosis; it is not a cure for my endo, which I have been fighting for twenty-one years. My Big Busted Uterus.

Sans Uterus: Myths of Endometriosis - Hysterectomy

http://sansuterus.blogspot.com/2009/03/myths-of-endometriosis-hysterectomy.html

Sunday, March 1, 2009. Myths of Endometriosis - Hysterectomy. During Endometriosis Awareness Month, it's helpful to get accurate facts out there about the disease and to dispel the common myths about endo. The myth I'd like to tackle today is this - that hysterectomy cures endometriosis. Obviously, this is a topic of particular relevance for me. If you have endometriosis, you're going to have to become your own best advocate. Find an endometriosis specialist - no matter how much you like your regular...

Sans Uterus: Now that's what I call raising awareness!

http://sansuterus.blogspot.com/2009/03/now-thats-what-i-call-raising-awareness.html

Monday, March 2, 2009. Now that's what I call raising awareness! I just recently came across this story and am very impressed. Diana Wallis, the Vice President of the European Parliament, is running in the London Marathon in April - and she's running for the World Endometriosis Research Foundation. Diana is an endometriosis survivor herself and is determined to raise awareness of the disease. You can follow her training progress at her marathon blog. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sans Uterus: December 2008

http://sansuterus.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 31, 2008. As I'm starting to feel better, I'm pulling together some more substantive posts. I think that the progress reports will be helpful to anyone in similar straits, but there's more ground I'd like to cover. I'm wishing you all a bright, shiny New Year. I, for one, am filled with anticipation and hope for 2009. It's a new beginning for me - bring it on! I slept solidly last night and woke up this morning feeling pretty darn good. Hooray!
