One Hundred Leaves: Backyard After Hurricane Ike

http://www.onehundredleaves.blogspot.com/2009/01/backyard-after-hurricane-ike.html

Friday, January 23, 2009. Backyard After Hurricane Ike. September 2008. Our backyard. Texas. We lost a lovely Bradford pear tree in the hurricane. The storm also stripped many leaves off the remaining pear, as well as the oak trees. It was like a green autumn as I raked up the leaves. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'd love to know what you think, and I'd love links to your leaf photos as well! Backyard After Hurricane Ike. Pink Magnolia and Sweet Potato Vine. View my complete profile.

One Hundred Leaves: Pink Magnolia & Sweet Potato Vine

http://www.onehundredleaves.blogspot.com/2009/01/pink-magnolia-sweet-potato-vine.html

Thursday, January 22, 2009. Pink Magnolia and Sweet Potato Vine. January 2009. My backyard. Texas. Venturing out to the yard one clear, cool afternoon, I smiled at the perfect afternoon light. The leaves captured it so well. The sweet potatoes were wiped out by frost that evening. January 23, 2009 at 2:33 PM. I just got here and your leaves a so wonderful I will watch this unfold with joy! One Hundred Leaves: Brown & Gray

http://www.onehundredleaves.blogspot.com/2009/01/brown-gray.html

Friday, January 23, 2009. December 2008. Gorman Falls, Colorado Bend State Park. Texas Hill Country. A warm little hike with my husband down to Gorman Falls. Many brown and gray leaves crinkled on the ground. February 13, 2009 at 8:49 PM. There's something very comforting about brown and grey, isn't there. (I said this though I am a fiend for color myself.). I came here from Tollipop; I'm doing a hundred toys, myself. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Backyard After Hurricane Ike.

One Hundred Leaves: Bradford Pear

http://www.onehundredleaves.blogspot.com/2009/01/bradford-pear.html

Friday, January 23, 2009. January 2009. Our backyard. Texas. By now most of the leaves have turned and fallen off the Bradford pears. A few bright red ones remain, clinging to the gray branches, lovely against the clear blue sky on a cool day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Meadowlark Days: August 2010

http://meadowlarkdays.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

T is for Transcendent. Stash Moroccan green mint and Raspberry Zinger were the teas I enjoyed when not at church! They were a nice change. Of course, not much time was spent sipping tea on this trip. My husband spent quite a bit of time folding paper airplanes for our godkids to throw across the room, and we also spent time drawing and doing a little art project. The weather was delightfully cool compared to Houston. You can find more Tea Tuesday participants here. Links to this post. T is for Twin Cities.

Meadowlark Days: T is for Twin Cities

http://meadowlarkdays.blogspot.com/2010/08/t-is-for-twin-cities.html

T is for Twin Cities. A week ago we returned from a quick trip to Minnesota to visit family. One of the highlights was visiting the Minneapolis Farmer's Market, which was hands down the largest one I've ever seen - two blocks' worth of vendors. I was enthralled by the heaps of bright veggies and couldn't resist taking photos, although I did feel a little self-conscious shooting in the crowd - hence quick decisions about composition, etc! Good to find beauty in all places. August 10, 2010 at 9:34 AM.

Beautiful sheet of ice you captured. February 16, 2011 at 7:54 PM. What a cool picture! Im enjoying winter while it lasts, too. I have a big stack of landscaping books to peruse as I try to make some decisions about our front flower beds. Like you, I have to try for something low maintenance because I cant bear to be outside in our summer heat! February 16, 2011 at 10:29 PM. Funny, I was just thinking of you the other day and then you had a new post! February 17, 2011 at 6:06 PM. March 18, 2011 at 4:56 PM.

Meadowlark Days: The Naked Face Project

http://meadowlarkdays.blogspot.com/2012/03/naked-face-project.html

The Naked Face Project. Have you heard of. The Naked Face Project. I just found out about it last night through a. I was intrigued and interested, largely because I have been makeup-free and hair-styling free for most of my adult life, whether for good or bad! Part of my reason for not wearing makeup comes from the fact that I don’t like the way it feels on my skin. But I also have to admit that I’ve been genetically blessed with good skin. And it takes too much time. I think the no make-up and not dryin...

Meadowlark Days: Chicken Paprika

http://meadowlarkdays.blogspot.com/2011/12/chicken-paprika.html

This dish has become a new holiday favorite. My stepmom makes it for us when she comes down at the holidays! In fact, it's what we had for Thanksgiving dinner. My husband and I want to find a quicker way to make it so we can enjoy it more often, perhaps with boneless chicken breasts. Chicken Paprika with Spatzle. 1 3 - 3.5 lb cut up fryer. 1 1/2 tsp salt. 1 Large chopped onion. 1 C chicken broth. 1 C light cream. 1/2 C sour cream. 3 C sifted flour. 1/8 tsp white pepper. 3 eggs, beaten. 1/4 C melted butter.

One Hundred Kind | A year-long challenge to commit 100 acts of kindness

A year-long challenge to commit 100 acts of kindness. No 26: Planting Seeds. March 23, 2015. I’ve mentioned before that I try to instill giving in the Little Guy. It’s a relatively easy task because he’s clearly wired with a generous spirit. But still, he’s 5, so it’s often a work in progress. We decided to go with Harvesters. Of course there’s the basic lesson we are teaching him about generosity and the expectations of gifts, which was the reason we wanted to do this in the first place. I was taken aba...
