Too many words, too many words: December 2008
http://youcanttrustviolence.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Too many words, too many words. And I can hear 'em. Tuesday, December 2, 2008. This is secretly one of our favourites. I'm not sure whether Alan's liner notes to the b-side version of "I Remember" found on A Lifetime of Temporary Relief. Are just indicating that alternate version of the opening song from Secret Name. Or to "I Remember" in general. I kind of hope it's the latter. I remember every number. I remember painted faces. No they couldn't believe it was you. That couplet of "No they couldn't belie...

Too many words, too many words. And I can hear 'em. Monday, June 7, 2010. The golden god treatment. Apparently this was sent to the "Low mailing list." Why I'm not a member of that, I have no fucking clue. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). In which I try to post an entry on every Low song they've ever released. You can normally find me here. Too many words, too many words: A Hundred Years Behind My Eyes: Low in Eindhoven
http://youcanttrustviolence.blogspot.com/2011/03/hundred-years-behind-my-eyes-low-in.html
Too many words, too many words. And I can hear 'em. Saturday, March 12, 2011. A Hundred Years Behind My Eyes: Low in Eindhoven. I said I was coming back, and the first part of that is this long-overdue effort on my part. A little while back Low put out a free digital EP called Live at Eindhoven. To a then-unreleased song that turned up on C'mon. The old links are dead, so here's a link. To the whole thing. Please let me know if you have any problems with it! 01 (That's How You Sing) Amazing Grace (8:44).

Too many words, too many words: October 2009
http://youcanttrustviolence.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Too many words, too many words. And I can hear 'em. Tuesday, October 13, 2009. The tyranny of distance. How much do I want to attend one (or more) of these shows. So much that it actually hurts a little. I hope all Low fans anywhere near Houston, NYC, Middletown or Minneapolis manage to get to one of those shows, because this sounds incredible:. Providing the musical backdrop to Thorson's piece,. Heaven , Alan and Mimi are providing original music and vocal orchestration. Friday, October 9, 2009. The dep...

Too many words, too many words: March 2011
http://youcanttrustviolence.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Too many words, too many words. And I can hear 'em. Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Of course, not all of them are songs, and in fact we're coming perilously close to the second anniversary of the last proper TMW,TMW review. In that time, Low have made another album, although we won't actually see it until mid-April. I've already preordered C'mon. But it might be the warmest record they've ever made, and there are some stunning songs on there. Oh, I just got an email. I'm reviewing C'mon. So that answers that.

Too many words, too many words: November 2008
http://youcanttrustviolence.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Too many words, too many words. And I can hear 'em. Thursday, November 27, 2008. This song is terrifying. Up until the last verse, where the lyrics change a bit, it's also one of the bigger mismatches I've ever heard between lyrical content and lyrical delivery. Picture a song about waiting for Santa to come with presents, delivered a bit like a hybrid between "John Prine". And horror movie soundtrack music. When the drums come in, I got a little shiver. And the video! Labels: Odds and Sods. Music From a...
