One Man in Kyoto
One Man in Kyoto. Thursday, August 23, 2007. FLEETING IMAGES OF KYOTO. Compared to Tokyo, Kyoto definitely has more of an old-world, traditional feel to it. To me, it was almost too quiet and laid back, but I guess to others that's part of its appeal. I did enjoy strolling through city and seeing all of these temples, but there were too many to take in during a limited time. As traditional as it is, Kyoto has many modern elements including their own version of a space needle:. By the time we visited Shor...

Possibly the most mind-blowing thing one can do in Lahore takes place every Thursday night at the 700-year-old Shrine of Baba Shah Jamal. At this time, several drum beaters gather together to play their hypnotic beats for a packed crowd. The weekly event has come to be known as "Sufi Night.". The part of the Shrine where the Gongasain brother...
One Man in Seattle
One Man in Seattle. Wednesday, August 22, 2007. FLEETING IMAGES OF SEATTLE. Seattle is a great town and the type of place I could see myself living in someday (if we don't return to Detroit). The city is lively, clean, and there are tons of things to do there - one moment you can be in your car in the heart of downtown and 15 miles later find yourself in the mountains. Back in the city, you can take a boat cruise for more great views including some nice island scenery. The nicest way to end a day in Seat...
