One Man in Beijing: HOUSES OF THE HOLY: TEMPLE OF HEAVEN PARK
http://onemaninbeijing.blogspot.com/2007/08/houses-of-holy-temple-of-heaven-park.html
One Man in Beijing. Sunday, August 26, 2007. HOUSES OF THE HOLY: TEMPLE OF HEAVEN PARK. One of Beijing's most enduring the symbols, the Temple of Heaven is considered by many to be the most perfect example of Ming-style architecture. It is surrounded by the Echo Wall, a circular enclosure where one's whispers can supposedly be heard all the way at the other end of the wall. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work when a couple of hundred people are around. Labels: HOUSES OF THE HOLY. One Man on Earth.

One Man in Seattle: August 2007
http://onemaninseattle.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
One Man in Seattle. Wednesday, August 22, 2007. FLEETING IMAGES OF SEATTLE. Seattle is a great town and the type of place I could see myself living in someday (if we don't return to Detroit). The city is lively, clean, and there are tons of things to do there - one moment you can be in your car in the heart of downtown and 15 miles later find yourself in the mountains. Back in the city, you can take a boat cruise for more great views including some nice island scenery. The nicest way to end a day in Seat...

One Man in Beijing: BEIJING RESTAURANT REVIEWS: QUANJUDE AND DONG LAI SHUN

One Man in Beijing. Sunday, August 26, 2007. BEIJING RESTAURANT REVIEWS: QUANJUDE AND DONG LAI SHUN. It's been said that a trip to Beijing is not complete until you visit the Great Wall and eat some roasted duck. On the night before we were going to go to the former, we decided to partake in the latter. In guidebooks, on the Internet and at our hotel's concierge desk, one restaurant name kept coming up as the best place to sample this local delicacy: Quanjude. It was pretty delicious, but quite honestly,...

One Man in Florence: ART ATTACK: THE UFFIZI
http://onemaninflorence.blogspot.com/2007/08/art-attack-uffizi.html
One Man in Florence. Monday, August 20, 2007. ART ATTACK: THE UFFIZI. When it comes to art museums, there are many great ones in the world but a few that rise to the top of the pantheon because of the sheer number of legendary works that can be found under their collective roofs. I'm talking about places like the Louvre, MOMA and Florence's own Uffizi. For me, that number is in the high thousands, so to finally stand face to face with this masterpiece was a particular thrill. Venus of Urbino" by Titian.

One Man in Florence: HOUSES OF THE HOLY: THE CATHEDRAL OF FLORENCE
http://onemaninflorence.blogspot.com/2007/08/houses-of-holy-cathedral-of-florence.html
One Man in Florence. Sunday, August 19, 2007. HOUSES OF THE HOLY: THE CATHEDRAL OF FLORENCE. The Florence Cathedral (aka Basilica di Santa Maria de Fiore) is quite possibly the city's most famous building. Dating back to the 13th Century, it can hold up to 30,000 people and at the time of its completion it was the largest cathedral in the world. Eventually, you get to the dome's first level and can see a depiction of the Last Judgment painted by Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari between 1568 and 1579.

One Man In Lahore: PAKISTANI PAPARAZZI: BEASTS OF BURDEN
http://onemaninlahore.blogspot.com/2006/12/pakistani-paparazzi-beasts-of-burden.html
One Man In Lahore. In November 2006, I traveled to Lahore, Pakistan for a business trip. This is what I saw. Saturday, December 02, 2006. PAKISTANI PAPARAZZI: BEASTS OF BURDEN. At times, it seems as if Lahore is an actual urban jungle because of the sheer amount of animals that are constantly mingling on the streets with the locals. Aside from the creatues I will document here, the Lahore animal population included dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, cows and camels. Still, there are times in Lahore when you'll...
