One Man Running: Moving To Hawaii
http://onemanrunning.blogspot.com/2012/08/moving-to-hawaii.html
The PRP/Synvisc procedure was today. All things considered, the procedure went very smoothly. So now I am staring down the barrel of two days of hard down time. I'm nine hours into it and already feeling like I'm imprisoned. Riot and escape attempt to follow. Stay tuned. Where did everybody go? After the nurse drew my blood (which we now know contains magical healing properties. The highlight of the post-procedure was sitting outside the hospital and talking with a homeless man from Paducah, KY while I w...
One Man Running: LSC Half Marathon 2012
http://onemanrunning.blogspot.com/2012/11/lsc-half-marathon-2012.html
LSC Half Marathon 2012. The second running of the Louisville Sports Commission Half Marathon was on Saturday, November 3rd. I would have written this blog post/race report before now but the very evening after the race I received a call from work that set off a cascade of events that resulted in me working around the clock for the following four days after. Most of those days included repeated briefings that were way too similar to this. Certainly not the company IT department. So on to the race report.
One Man Running: October 2012
http://onemanrunning.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Late last week my daughter texted me while I was at work to ask if she could run a local 5K race. I, of course, consented and asked her if she would like for me to run it with her. She said that she did. The race that she wanted to run was the We're On The Move 5K that benefited Down Syndrome of Louisville. The race itself was a simple out and back that started out from the Waterfront and traveled down River Road, ending back where we had started. There were no chip timers or race clocks (except for ...
One Man Running: Return of the Mack
http://onemanrunning.blogspot.com/2014/11/return-of-mack.html
Return of the Mack. The One Man Returns to Running and Racing.Like An Idiot. Over a year ago I last posted some foolishness about returning to both blogging and running. As the line from my new favorite song by the Black Keys goes, " You know me, I had plans but they just disappeared to the back of my mind." So where have I been this past year, you may ask? Submerged and adrift in truly dark and shadowy places. Little Black Submarines. Still great tech shirts, even if I wasn't crazy about the theme.
One Man Running: The Holidays Are Here...Run!
http://onemanrunning.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-holidays-are-hererun.html
The Holidays Are Here.Run! May the gods have mercy. The holidays are officially, undeniably upon us. So on Wednesday night I decided to make the best of my Thanksgiving morning and run the Iroquois Hill Runners. Thanksgiving Day Run. The run is held each year on Thanksgiving morning and is a 5 mile run through the hills of Iroquois park, which is actually a pretty tough run with a hard climb the entire length of the first two miles or so. IHR Thanksgiving Day Run Elevation Profile. Near the top of the pa...

Flying Pig Marathon 2016 – Running4Liz (A Guest Blog Post). Today I received a race report from a good friend about her experience with the Flying Pig Marathon. Ginger, and the amazing women who ran with her, dedicated their run to Liz Lothrop; a young Cincinnati area woman who recently lost her fight with glioblastoma, a form of very aggressive cancer that begins in the brain (you can see media coverage of Liz's story here. One Man's Access
Thursday, October 16, 2014. So Long, Jeets. He hit a walk off single to win the game. In the big picture it was meaningless because the win had zero impact on the standings, as the Yankees were eliminated from the playoffs weeks ago. But it was a pretty awesome moment that epitomized Jeets over the years. Links to this post. Thursday, October 2, 2014. One Mans Annoying / Aggravating / Funny / Interesting Access Picture. One man safari
Thursday, August 03, 2006. Africans helped us to see the light. The faces, stories and skills of the Africans who guided me, fed me and strained mightily to teach me a little something are indelible in my memory and already missed. First among them is guide and tracker Richard Avilino, the all-purpose human Swiss Army knife. Encyclopedic and seasoned but still sharing the excitement of each animal sighting, his mastery of place proved a daily marvel. You go on safari to see and photograph the animals....

I'm Said and welcome to my site. Salesman, entrepreneur, problem solver and author. Why I'm a pain in the ass. Pain in the ass. There are people that give gentle feedback.
