One Ordinary Day
Perspective for the hard (and not so hard) moments. April 16, 2015. Life has been full and busy and wonderful and exhausting. And somehow I just haven’t felt the physical or mental space to sit down and write for awhile. Even though there are so many words I want to pour out. Someday I’ll get to it. Either way there’s no winning. We’ve been reading through the Little House series for school this year, and I’ve been thinking a lot about a paragraph we read the other night. Little Town on the Prairie.
One Ordinary Day
A Little About Me. What I’m Reading. August 9, 2014. Claudia and I were on our own most of the week, while our menfolk were off at camp. It was fun spending so much time with my favorite girl, and with girl time comes chocolate. We think they just go hand in hand. Both of us were in the mood for brownies, but it was too hot to turn on the oven. Solution? Only 3 ingredients and we each had a frozen, drinkable brownie. Yum! Recipe: Brownie Batter Milkshake. From Cookies and Cups. 3 cups vanilla ice cream.

Extraodinarily Ordinary
How We Got Our Name. Tuesday, October 7, 2014. October is my Favorite Season. Okay, I know October is not a season. But fall has arrived here in our little corner of the Midwest. The funny thing about fall here is that at the end of September, you can spend a day at the zoo in your shorts and tee shirt (C got to help out at the Cheetah show and show how Cheetah adaptations work). And then by the first weekend in October you are bundled up in hats and vests and sweatshirts in front of a roaring bonfire.
