Wednesday, October 2, 2013. What I would say to younger me. I was visiting with an older woman in our small group this evening. She has no idea that her passing comment helped me breathe a little easier tonight. We were looking at my stove, and I commented/apologized/pointed out that my stove was dirty. She reminded me that soon enough my kids will be gone and I will be able to keep everything clean then. It is so true. They tell me this all the time. They tell me it will go so fast, so just enjoy it now.

Tuesday, September 23, 2008. The Story of the Corkboard. My very favorite message I ever got, though, was on a Monday morning.it was from a man who 16 months later became my husband! He wrote me a note asking if I enjoyed the concert we both happened to be at that weekend! And then he told me where he would be studying and I could come find him to tell him what I thought of the concert. That was the beginning of the rest of our life! We have now been married over 12 years. I love the corkboard story!

Wednesday, August 14, 2013. So far, forty isn't so bad. Turning 40 isn't so bad. I started my day out with the kids surprising me with. A beautifully decorated house,. Lots of fun gifts-. Thank you for taking them shopping, Mom),. And lots and lots of love! My poor husband was supposed to be off of work starting. Thursday night, but he got a call-out on the way home,. And didn't get home until 2:30 in the morning. He had to go in to work on his day off. The county got a little crazy on my birthday weekend.
