Stepping Stones: My First Writing Playdate!
http://www.onestoneatatime.com/2015/02/my-first-writing-playdate.html
A heart-centred writing practice one stepping stone at a time. Monday, 2 February 2015. My First Writing Playdate! Image courtesy of aungkarns. This weekend was very productive. I was supposed to write during my son's swimming lesson on Saturday, but I actually got to do a lot more than that - Saturday AND Sunday! Sorted out the details for my opening scene (brainstormed it during my 15 minute sessions during the week, but I haven't written it yet);. Put together my heroine's playlist for Act 1;. I'm wor...
Stepping Stones: April 2014
http://www.onestoneatatime.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
A heart-centred writing practice one stepping stone at a time. Monday, 28 April 2014. Of the books I have read this month, these are the ones that I highly recommend. (The images/links below are affiliate links which does not affect the price but means that I will earn a small commission if you decide to purchase any of the books.). Writing your Novel from the Middle. By James Scott Bell. A short book that can be read in an hour or two, but one I'm keeping near to hand because of the invaluable tips and ...
Stepping Stones: December 2014
http://www.onestoneatatime.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
A heart-centred writing practice one stepping stone at a time. Friday, 26 December 2014. We've reached the end of Round 4 for 2014 and this blog has been very quiet. Let me explain why. Not long after posting my goals, some small voice inside me spoke very frankly and said, "You cannot do justice to two significant commitments in your life." (I think there's a quote in the Bible somewhere about a man not being able to serve two masters. That was the gist of the idea here, too.). Commiting to something me...

A heart-centred writing practice one stepping stone at a time. Monday, 6 October 2014. I'll make this short and sweet, although I've a lot I'd like to say about the whys and wherefores. Let's skip that for this post. Goals for Round 4. Write the 5 short stories/flash fictions for the Bingo Card Challenge. Working on the revision for TWB (there'll definitely be a post about this soon). This is a blog hop, so be sure to check out the other ROW80ers here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). GothNo, NaNo and CampNaNo progress. Jun 25, 2012. I 'won' June Camp NaNo! Yup, 55,871 words as of last night and I'm going to keep going because my job as a writer - the most important job of all - is to show up in my writing space. And I'm going to keep going. I may have 'won' June Camp NaNo, but I'm not going to stop writing now. Posted by Lisa Lawler. Jun 14, 2012. Second week of Camp coming to an end. And I've reached the 35K mark. Woo Hoo! GothNo, NaNo and CampNaNo progress. Apr 18, 2013. I said I would post something on the process I'm using with my WIP, so here it is! The first part of my pre-planning involved fitting some key plot points into the W plot arc. (Do you know this? Posted by Lisa Lawler. View my complete profile. Pocket Full of Words. No Man’s Sky: A Science Fiction Novelist (And Grown-Up Nerdy Girl) Reviews the Game. 3 things that have inspired me recently. Wordcount Progress and Goal. 0 / 50,000 (0%). Camp NaNo April 2013!

GothNo, NaNo and CampNaNo progress. Sep 30, 2011. GothNoWriMo 2011 starts TOMORROW! I've been working through Susan Bischoff's Blueprint. Amazing document) and I've tweaked it a bit to include some other bits and pieces that I'll find helpful. Right I'd better start working out the details of the first scene. Good luck to everyone doing GothNoWriMo this year! Posted by Lisa Lawler. View my complete profile. Pocket Full of Words. 3 things that have inspired me recently. Wordcount Progress and Goal.

GothNo, NaNo and CampNaNo progress. Nov 2, 2013. Fast Drafting - Day 2. I'm trying something new this year. Fast Drafting. Candace Havens. Is the creator of this writing method, and the goal is to have a 70,000 wordcount draft written in 2 weeks. That's 5,000 words per day. Day 1 didn't get off to the start I'd hoped it would. Real Life, don't you know? Image courtesy of Jppi. And to all the other NaNoers out there, keep those pens/fingers moving! Posted by Lisa Lawler. Im a reader, a dreamer, a homemake...

GothNo, NaNo and CampNaNo progress. Oct 16, 2011. Copy of post on GothNoWriMo boards.). Due to unforeseen events - obedience training for hyperactive wolves, major structural damage to organise repairs for and several meetings with anxious villagers to reassure them that there won't be a repeat performance - I must bow out of this year's GothNo. Sadly, now that I've seen Canardly's winner's certificate, I'm so far off target there's no hope of catching up and laying claim to it. GothNo, NaNo and CampNaNo progress. Sep 30, 2010. Less than two hours until GothNoWriMo officially begins! I intend to get a good night's sleep and then start into some serious typing tomorrow after breakfast. Best of luck, everyone! Image courtesy of phaewilk at Morguefile.com. Posted by Lisa Lawler. Shamrock's WriMos: November 2013
http://shamrocksnano.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
GothNo, NaNo and CampNaNo progress. Nov 14, 2013. As of 11.34pm tonight, I reached 73,047 words, And all in 14 days! It was tough. It was very tough at times. But it was the only way I was going to get this first draft done, once and for all. I've learned a lot - not just about the techniques to use to fast draft, but also about my story and the plot points and plot elements. And tomorrow that smile will still be there, but I'm going to rest, catch up with my housework and spend time with my family.
